Dr. Will Caster, Johnny Depp, is a technology genius with ideas that could change the world. He creates a revolutionary plan called “Transcendence”. This plan includes creating technology that can not only save people, but can also recreate objects, bring the dead back to life, and heal the wounded. This attracts the negative attention of R.I.F.T., a group of anti-technological extremists. They decide that they need to stop him before it is too late. After Will is shot with a laced bullet, Evelyn, his wife, makes a choice. As a fellow researcher she knows that there is a way to keep his mind alive even if his body is dead. The only way to save Will before time runs out is to upload him onto the World Wide Web.
This movie was something special, from the concepts to the coding, every part is as realistic as could be. Not only will this satisfy your Sci-Fi needs, but it will also blow your mind! The plot and special effects were beyond what I was expecting. Some parts are a little confusing and the whole R.I.F.T. thing was kind of weird, but other than that, it was a pretty cool film. This movie really changed the way I thought and felt about technology to the point. Probably, the craziest part about this entire movie was the fact that this is actually possible. If you are into technology, love stories, or Johnny Depp… this is definitely the movie for you!

I've been meaning to see this movie for a while. I think that it sounds interesting and new compared to all the science-fiction movies that have come out lately. Your review was well-written and very good. I enjoyed reading it.
